HYDAC electronically controlled hydraulic power steering

Kröger now offers a new electro-hydraulic power steering system from HYDAC for all tandem and tridem vehicles. The power steering system does not require a tractor-side connection via the K50 or K80 with integrated drawbar sensors. Steering angles for the axles are determined solely by a yaw-rate sensor located on the vehicle. Speed and steering-angle sensors on the axles further support the system.

The steering can operate in automatic mode as a power-assisted system or be manually controlled. This reduces tire wear, improves maneuverability, and lowers axle stress. At the same time, it eliminates vulnerable external steering components, making the system significantly more robust even under demanding off-road conditions.
